Study Abroad
The ESS Coordination Office regularly organises the "USW Study Abroad" event in cooperation with the International Relations Office (BIB).
This event provides organisational input and prepares our students for their stay abroad in the best possible way.
We would like to thank the ladies and gentlemen of the BIB for their support!
Time and Self Management
In November 2020, the Coordination Office organized an information event on the topic of "Time and Self-Management" for the first time.
In a two-hour webinar,Dr. Oberreither presented important tips and tricks on how to organize your studies, how to avoid putting off exams and tasks, and how to maintain your own motivation, and also answered specific questions from the participants. The focus here was particularly on first-year students, in order to make it easier for them to get started in everyday university life, but students with a higher level of study progress were also interested.
We would like to thank all participants and especially Dr. Oberreither for the successful event!
How to write a bachelor thesis
The ESS Coordination Office regularly organizes the event "How to write a bachelor thesis" in cooperation with the Writing Center of the Teaching and Student Services.
The Writing Center provides stylistic as well as organizational input to prepare our students in the best possible way for one of the last stages of their Bachelor studies.
We would like to thank the ladies and gentlemen of the Writing Center for the successful event!
Field reports for Interdisciplinary Internships (IP)
We would like to provide all ESS students with up-to-date IP experience reports in this way, since we no longer offer an IP presentation day since the summer semester 2016.
In these reports, the following points of each IP are presented:
- Issue/research question(s) of the IP.
- Description of the selected method(s)
- Description of the main results
- Description of any difficulties encountered (e.g., deviation from the originally planned IP content, problems with data, etc.), further research needs, and other items worth mentioning.
The aim of these field reports is not only to give students an overview of all IPs, but also to give them ideas and inspiration for organizing their own IP.
